Support for Patient Groups
In 2015, Celgene provided support to, or on behalf of, the following patient groups in the UK:

ARTHRITIS CARE LTD.

  • Grant to support the Health Professional Lecture on Monday 5th October 2015 in The Long Gallery, Stormont – £650.00

BLOODWISE

  • Charity – matching the amount raised by Celgene employees in 2014 – £1,250.00

BREAST CANCER CARE

  • Charity – matching the amount raised by Celgene employees in 2014 – £1,250.00

CANCER 52

  • Celgene contribution to Cancer52 to support those living with and affected by a blood cancer or blood disorder diagnosis – £16,000.00
  • Sponsorship to Cancer 52 to train/empower Cancer52 members/charities to further promote the cause of rare and less common cancers through delivery, specifically to support Cancer52 membership campaign and influence policy. This will cover topics including social media work for charities and how to work with the media and developing strategy plans – £16,000.00

EURO PACOLON UK

  • Grant to support the development of the pancreatic and stomach cancer patient groups 2015 – £5,722.18

LEUKAEMIA CARE

  • Charity – matching the amount raised by Celgene employees in 2014 – £1,250.00
  • Grant towards Leukaemia CARE’s 2014 Nurse Conference Program, Leukaemia CARE’s 2014 Patient Conference program and Leukaemia CARE’s patient helpline – £13,000.00

MYELOMA UK

  • Celgene Contribution to Charity Bike Ride from London to Paris for 10 Celgene Employees – £9,490.00
  • Celgene Contribution towards Myeloma UK’s support to Patients and their Families living with Multiple Myeloma – £110,000.00
  • Fee paid for Consultancy for internal training from 24th March-26th March 2015 – £250.00

PANCREATIC CANCER ACTION

  • Support for activities relating to disease awareness and patient/carer support 2014 – £30,000.00
  • Charity – matching the amount raised by Celgene employees in 2014 – £1,250.00
  • Taxi costs to attend Patient Council Meetings in February and July 2015 – £658.00
  • Support for attendance at media ad board for pancreatic cancer treatments – £300.00
  • Transportation, accommodation and meal expenses in relation to participation at pancreatic cancer multi-stakeholder platform in Brussels – €485.09

PANCREATIC CANCER UK

  • Grant for the charity towards Pancreatic Cancer UK’s International Summit 2015 held at the Wellcome Trust, London – £15,000.00

PANCREATIC CANCER UK

  • Support for World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2014 led by the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition – £100,000.00

PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS LINK VOLUNTEERS – SCOTLAND

  • Celgene sponsorship to fund video production company to develop a creative brief and film – £2,000.00

RARE DISEASE UK

  • Rare Disease UK Corporate Sponsorship 2014 – £8,400.00

SKIN CONDITIONS CAMPAIGN SCOTLAND

  • Skin Conditions Campaign Scotland Corporate Membership – £3,000.00

THE PSORIASIS ASSOCIATION

  • Celgene Sponsorship for development of patient video montages for website inclusion on The Psoriasis Association Website – £10,000.00
  • Fee for professional services from Helen McAteer, CEO Psoriasis Association – £120.00

UK MDS PATIENT SUPPORT GROUP

  • Charity – matching the amount raised by Celgene employees in 2014 – £1,250.00

WORLD CHILD CANCER

  • 2015 Donation to World Child Cancer – £49,999.90
